Foster Volunteer Application

Open your home and your heart. We review every application on a case-by-case basis and respond within 48 hours.

Make a Real Difference in Someone's Recovery

For many people entering addiction treatment, leaving a beloved pet behind is one of the biggest barriers to getting help. By opening your home as a Bubbie's Place foster, you directly remove that barrier — giving someone the courage to seek treatment knowing their best friend is safe and loved.

Foster care is typically 30–90 days, though timelines vary based on treatment length. Learn more about how Bubbie's Place works, or read about the Hope for Recovery mission.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long am I expected to foster?

Bubbie's Place prefers that you commit to fostering your animal until the recoveree has completed treatment. If you can only foster for a specific period of time, please indicate this up front.

What if my foster pet has to go to the vet?

As noted in the Foster Agreement, vet care for foster animals must be provided by an approved Bubbie's Place vet.

What if I have to leave town?

Please notify us ahead of time so that we can make arrangements for your foster animal to go elsewhere while you are gone.

What if my foster animal isn't working out?

Contact your Bubbie's Place representative as soon as possible and we will work with you to resolve the situation.

Am I expected to buy supplies for my foster?

Purchases made for foster care are considered donations to Bubbie's Place and are tax-deductible. Keep your receipts — we will issue you a tax donation letter.

Can I adopt the pet I'm fostering?

Bubbie's Place is a temporary foster program — the goal is always to reunite the pet with their owner. Adoption is not part of our program.
