Because no one should have to choose between recovery and their best friend.
About the Program
For many individuals entering treatment or recovery, a pet is more than a companion — they are a source of comfort, purpose, connection, and unconditional love. By caring for the pet, we help support the person.
Our Mission
To ensure that no individual is denied access to treatment, recovery, or supportive services because they lack safe and compassionate care for their pets.
Our Vision
A future where every person seeking recovery can do so knowing their beloved pet is safe, cared for, and waiting for them on the other side.
Our Promise
We Care for the Pet So You Can Focus on Recovery.
The Process
From application to reunion — here is what to expect.
Submit an Application
Fill out our surrender application with your situation, treatment plans, and pet information. All information is kept strictly confidential.
We Review Your Case
All applicants are handled on a case-by-case basis. Our team reviews your application and responds within 48 hours.
Your Pet Gets Placed
We match your pet with a loving, vetted foster family for the duration of your treatment program. You'll receive regular updates and photos.
Reunite After Recovery
When you complete treatment, we coordinate the reunion of you and your pet. Your best friend will be waiting for you.
Bubbie's Place is open to anyone who is actively seeking or enrolled in an addiction treatment program (detox, inpatient rehab, sober living, or transitional housing) and needs temporary care for their dog or cat.
We work with individuals at all stages of recovery — there is no judgment here, only support.
Need someone to care for your pet while you get the help you deserve? Submit a surrender application and we'll find a loving foster home.
Open your home to a pet in need while their owner is in recovery. Become a Bubbie's Place foster volunteer and make a real difference.
