Our Mission

A single action can make a difference. Collective action can change the world.

We achieve this through advocacy, education, and service — proudly offering support to all affected by the disease of addiction.

Hope

We believe every person deserves a chance at a brighter tomorrow.

Compassion

We meet people where they are with empathy and understanding.

Commitment

We show up consistently for our community, no matter what.

Meet Our Founders

Robyn and Jimmy - Founders of Hope for Recovery

Robyn & Jimmy

Co-Founders

Robyn and Jimmy's journey with Hope for Recovery began with a simple belief: that recovery is possible, and that community is essential to healing.

Witnessing the power of compassion and second chances in their own lives, they founded Hope for Recovery in 2018 with a mission to raise awareness, eliminate stigma, and provide tangible support to those in recovery.

Every week, they show up at John Street Bridge with donuts and open hearts—not because it's easy, but because they believe every person deserves dignity, hope, and a chance to be heard.

Dmitri's Recovery Journey

Dmitri

Hope for Recovery Advisory Board Member

Dmitri's story is one of resilience, transformation, and the profound power of believing in someone when they don't believe in themselves. His journey through addiction and into recovery is a testament to the fact that no one is beyond help, and that one act of kindness can change everything.

Like so many who struggle with substance use, Dmitri hit rock bottom. But instead of staying there, he chose recovery. He chose to fight. He chose to build a new life—one day, one moment, one right decision at a time.

Today, Dmitri serves on Hope for Recovery's advisory board, sharing his story with others who are where he once was. He understands the shame, the hopelessness, and the fear. But he also knows the other side—the freedom, the dignity, and the joy that comes with recovery.

His presence in our community is a living, breathing reminder that recovery is possible. That people can change. That the life you dream of is within reach, even when it feels impossible. Dmitri embodies the very spirit of Hope for Recovery: compassion without judgment, support without conditions, and belief in the power of human transformation.

"Recovery isn't just about stopping the addiction. It's about building a life worth being sober for. Hope for Recovery helped me see that I was worth saving."
